I have spoken with the RD for Europe and he has put out a call for ATC for both your next departure from Marseilles and arrival at Rome.
Hopefully you will get some local ATC for the next leg.
I will continue to contact other local facilities and advise of the EWA Group Flight so that they can arrange ATC if possible.

Hi guys,
Well I have not upheld my promise to make Saturday, as I will now be in Perth all weekend with work leaving Friday. I will make it to one of the darn things soon enough.
Sorry. _________________ Ross King

David's VOR-VOR FS9 plan, taking a more scenic route. Loads into FS9 GPS. No doubt preferable to our Virtual VFR colleagues.

Paul's FSNav flight plan. Loads into FSNavigator. (See route below.)
Image of the FSNav route.

Paul's FS9 plan based on FSNav route above. Loads into FS9 GPS.
FS9 plans - right click on link; choose Save Target As and save to your My Documents\Flight Simulator Files folder. You then load the plan into the FS9 GPS.
FSNav plan - sorry, I don't know the path to save these files to. Paul, can you elaborate, please? _________________ Andrew Watson

G'day fellas, well I finally made it here
I'm looking forward to this weekends flight.. I've been reading up on the FSS dash 8's fmc and I don't think I'll be using it this weekend but I'll get there eventually!! I've been looking at the flight plan and this will be an interesting flight for sure.
Thanks Rosscoe for the scenry links you've been posting, I'd already downloaded the Rome one from ISD but I installed the Naples airport you've suggested as a diversion airport and it looks pretty good too.

I have downloaded and installed some 75 meter freeware mesh from this site
http://www.simviation.com/fsdterrainsrtm.htm It is quite good because you can simply download a piece for the area that you want ( which you can see on a map of the world) and then delete it when the flight has been done ( for Broadband users only though!
We should get a good view of the Corsican mountains on this flight.

Good luck to you Paul
I've just got back into town, and will be up against it to fly tonight (properly prepared). Will maybe get there as an observer. Have a good one guys - last week's sounds like it went exceptionally well. Sorry I couldn't make it.
Cheers, Tom. |

Not long finished leg 2 of this special lot of flights. I just downloaded scenery for Rome!! Wow the ISD stuff is fantastic & it's free & has virtually no loss of frames!! I'm glad I found it before we depart there next week. Does anyone know anything about the frequencies listed for nav2 re. parking bays? I noticed the "batman" directing my dash8 into one bay but I haven't noticed that setting nav2 to 116.1 or 109.1 (in the dash) does anything??? Other than that there are buses moving about & even excavators digging up the soil in construction areas! It's cool, grab it before next weeks leg. I've decided to fly the rest just using ground stations as the original flight would have done it that way. After saying that I suppose where we encounter ATC I will probably have to factor in SID's & STARS, but that's no drama. By the time this group flight ends we will have had lots of fun. Too bad I didn't remember anything from my French lessons at school, it would have been handy departing LFML tonight. Thanks for the company enroute tonight. |

| For what it is worth I noticed that the PSS Dash8's FMC will use plans created in the default FS flight planner. It's only a click of one FMC button & it's up & running, but don't ask me which button because I don't remember which one I clicked when I made the discovery (might not be new to you guys but it is to me). I'd guess it's somewhere where we load the flight plans. That should make life very easy for those who don't like planning. |

Hi DP
Yes - it will load up a default FS9 plan.
In the Flightplan FPL page, you have the option to "Load Route"
When that page opens, you have either the option to select a previously saved Dash8 FMC plan or to load a FS9 plan.
